Salesforce Product Owner

ABC Organization is seeking a Salesforce Product Owner. The Salesforce Product Owner will be responsible for ensuring the successful operation and ongoing enhancement of our Salesforce CRM platform. We are seeking an experienced Salesforce professional to manage our suite of business application solutions on the Salesforce platform. As an integral member of the XYZ team, this position will work together with business stakeholders, their team of administrators, and 3rd party vendors to develop and execute innovative solutions for ABC Organization’s business capabilities and business process optimizations.
- Oversee and support fulfillment of ongoing requests for enhancement and improvement for Salesforce, providing guidance to the business regarding solution design, architecture, and implementation. Lead sessions to gather, define, and document business requirements.
- Administer operational support of Salesforce to ensure it is run and maintained in keeping with industry standards and best practices and is meeting the needs of the business.
- Manage Center of Excellence to maintain strong, collaborative relationships and build consensus among stakeholders across business and IT peers, leveraging exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Support management of Sandbox environments, including oversight of ongoing development activities and system administration. Oversees migration of code and configurations across development and production environments, including planning, testing and change management.
- Manage selection process and ongoing relationships with implementation partners and other vendors. Determine how best to position partners to effectively manage projects while leveraging the skills of the in-house team members.
- Manage team of X Salesforce Administrators (and Business Analysts, where applicable) who support the above tasks.
- Minimum of six years of relevant IT experience with a focus on CRM, Salesforce preferred
- Nonprofit experience is a plus
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders across the business
- Able to quickly connect business requirements with the functional capabilities of the application, fit-gap analysis, as-is and to-be business process designs.
- Experience defining and delivering systems’ support strategy, including business analysis and requirements gathering abilities.
- Salesforce Administrator certification required; Salesforce Platform App Builder certification a plus
- People management experience a plus
