A Lightweight 3D HTML5/JavaScript Brain and Biostructure Viewer
This is a lightweight 3D anatomical bio-structure viewer written purely in HTML5 + JavaScript. The BrainViewer uses WebGL and is supported on most modern web browsers, e.g., Chrome 16+, Firefox 15+.
The code is organized in the following self-explanatory directories -- css, data, gfx, js -- and the main file launching the app in the browser s index.html. The entire package can be downloaded as a self-contained (release V1.0) ZIP file. Additional test datasets are available on the DSPA website.
This work is supported in part by NIH grants U54 EB020406, P20 NR015331, P50 NS091856, P30 DK089503, P30AG053760, UL1TR002240, and NSF grants 1734853, 1636840, 1416953, 0716055 and 1023115. Students, trainees, scholars, and researchers from SOCR, BDDS, DCMB, MIDAS, MICHR, and the broad open-science community have contributed ideas, code, and support.
The code development is based on Slice:Drop and XTK, which are developed at Boston Childrens Hospital. Test case-studies from the Data Science and Predictive Analytics (DSPA) resource may be included in the viewer.
