Welcome to the LandChain wiki!
LandChain is a Hyperledger Blockchain designed for storage, notary, and processing of land titles and registry, architectural / construction, and property performance data. LandChain is an international platform upon which trustable, immutable records of land ownership can be stored and accessed. Data relating to buildings and characteristics of a property may also be stored, whereby LandChain supports private and/or encrypted datastored via notarized datasets. LandChain nodes consist of a consensus engine and blockchain database, with smart-contracts functionality, and also a subsidiary distributed database implementation for holding notarized data.
LandChain is not a single blockchain, but a set of blockchains, by region, and there may be overlapping regions covered by many chains, and a heirarchical structure between the chains. LandChain can cover as large or small of a geographical area as needed, including just one room, or an entire planet. Provisioning your territory with LandChain will provide a full historical record of ownership records and logged transactions relating to that territory.
LandChain is a free, open-source project under the Mozilla license, so feel free to look at the code and offer contributions in the form of a PR. Please see instructions on contributing feedback, bug reports, or code to the project in page on Project Technology & Contribution.
