Full list of command-line arguments that the game accepts

  • -updateImages
  • -jumpToFrame
  • -dumpAssetUsage
  • -noFPSLimit — Disables the FPS limit (the game will run faster on powerful computers).
  • -noAGPFix — Fix for old video adapters.
  • -seed
  • -quickstart — Disables both the animated intro in the main menu and the startup intro.
  • -constantDebug
  • -winCursors — Use standard Windows cursors.
  • -noShellAnim
  • -shellmap
  • -nologo — Disables the EA logo at the beginning of the game.

  • -nomusic — Disables only the music.

  • -scriptDebug — Starts the script debugger. This option requires the corresponding DLL file and an entry in DebugAI = yes in the Gamedata.ini file.
  • -particleEdit — Starts the particle editor. This option requires the corresponding DLL file and a special map.
  • -fullVersion
  • -fullScreen — Fullscreen mode.
  • -win — Windowed mode.
  • -xres [number] — Forces the horizontal screen resolution.
  • -yres [number] — Forces the vertical screen resolution.
  • -noshellmap — Disables the video intro in the main menu.
  • -noshroud — Disables the "fog of war."
  • -lowDetail — Starts the game with low detail (used for weak PCs and weak video cards).
  • -noshaders — Disables shader effects (used for weak PCs and weak video cards).
