What does GEM do?

GEM is a way to monitor earthquakes in real time all over the world

Accuracy is ensured by getting the data from the United States Geological Survey

Earthquake markers are displayed in 4 colors

• Red for earthquakes within last hr
• Yellow for earthquakes within the last 24 hrs
• Blue for earthquakes within the last 7 days
• Green for earthquakes within the last 30 days

How to use

Notice at the bottom the most recent earthquake will be displayed

To investigate an earthquake just click on the marker and it's info will be rendered where the most recent earthquake typically is

To update map with new earthquakes refresh the page
