GreenAuror is an open-source initiative aimed at spreading awareness about environmental conservation, driving climate action, and fostering sustainable practices. Inspired by the impactful work of organizations like Greenpeace, we aim to be a platform for education, collaboration, and activism.
To create a community-driven platform where individuals can come together to:
- Advocate for climate action.
- Share knowledge about sustainable practices.
- Organize events, petitions, and campaigns for environmental causes.
- Campaigns and Petitions: Start or support campaigns for environmental issues.
- Educational Resources: Access blogs, videos, and other materials on sustainability.
- Community Events: Organize or participate in events like clean-ups and tree-planting drives.
- Donation Platform: Support verified organizations working towards environmental causes.
Follow these steps to get the project up and running on your local machine:
- Node.js (v14 or above)
- MongoDB (for database)
- Git
- Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/Unichronic/GreenAuror.git
- Navigate to the project directory:
cd GreenAuror
- Install dependencies:
npm install
- Set up environment variables by creating a
.env
file in the root directory:MONGO_URI= PORT=3000
- Start the development server:
npm run server.js
The application will be live at http://localhost:3000
.
