I'm Emma, I'm part of the Google Fonts team. A user suggested to add Cal Sans to the catalog:
google/fonts#7091
I forked your repo in order to make some small changes (not design-related), so the font can follow Google Specs (https://googlefonts.github.io/gf-guide/index)
