Instructions for building your own Roxie display

Order the PCB on JLCPCB

  1. Go to JLCPCB and click on "QUOTE NOW".

  1. Click "Add your gerber file" and upload the roxie.zip file from the gerber folder of this repository. You should now see the PCB board front and back being loaded.

Gerbers

  1. All standard options are fine. Just select the required quantity (min is 5), save to the cart and finish ordering. I received my board in less then 2 weeks.

Order an Arduino Nano Every

Order an Arduino Nano Every from your local electronics shop or on the internet. This Arduino can be programmed with a micro-USB cable.

Order the TFT screen

The screen you need to order is a 2.0 inch TFT with a resolution of 176 * 220 pixels and a ILI9225 driver, you can order it on Aliexpress, for example here.

Soldering

Solder the Arduino and the screen to the board. It should look like this:

Connect Roxie display

Connect the Roxie display to a VESC compatible controller. If the connections are correct the screen will show the telemetrics from the VESC like this:
