Barcode Structure

chmarr edited this page Nov 26, 2012 · 2 revisions

Artshow Jockey expects barcodes to be in the following structure:

  • d - a single digit
  • n - a number containing one or more digits
  • x - a single letter
  • s - one or more letters or digits

Piece

  • AnPn - Artist ID followed by Piece ID
  • AnPnx - Proposed format that will allow versioning of pre-printed bid sheets

Bidder

  • Bdddd - Bidder ID, which is currently always 4 digits. Note a future version may allow more digits, or allow bidder IDs leading with C, D or E and have the letter form part of the bidder ID. This will allow more than 1000 bidders in a show and/or allow avoiding re-use of bidder numbers for several years, avoiding the possibility that someone could hold onto their bidder numbers from previous shows and mess things up.

Location

  • Ls - Location identifier
  • LEND - End of Location Scan

Disposition Codes

  • NB - No Bids
  • NS - Normal Sale
  • NAS - Auction Sale
  • NAC - Auction Complete
  • NBN - Buy Now Sale
