Template inheritance in Django

Exercise 1:

  • Create 3 template files. movies.html, movie_details and movie_synopsis.html
  • Using movies.html as the parent template, create a basic header with <h1> that says "My Movies Page" and a named block for a subtitle using an <h2> tag. In the body add a block named content iterate the array of dictionay entries (provided below) and displays in 3 columns using a basic CSS grid.
  • The first column should diplay the title of the movie
  • The second column should contain the hyperlink Movie Details with the url generated using the movie's position in the array (e.g. http://localhost:8000:movie_details/2).
  • The 3rd column should contain the hyperlink Movie Synopsis with the url generated using the movie's position in the array (e.g. http://localhost:8000:movie_synopsis/2).
  • Using movie_details.html with a block named content that will display the movie title, and movie details for the selected movie.
  • Using movie_synopsis.html with a block named content that will display the movie title, and movie synopsis for the selected movie.
  • Create an endpoints that will route to the details and synopsis views that display the appropriate entry.
