To escape the machines, I fled through the warp gates, but the carnage seems to be even worse the further I go. Some of the stations out here seem to have been more populated, unfortunately.
Power surges emanating from the hyperspace gates seem to have an unusual effect on machinery, especially the robots on the stations. We've observed some unfortunate violent reactions from the machines recently--this is all starting to get out of control. During the last power surge, I thought that I glimpsed the sillouette of a large, cloaked figure through the veil of the jump gate. We long suspected that there was something... else... out there in hyperspace, something that we, perhaps, should never have disturbed by opening these gates...

The power surges from the jump gates are more-or-less constant now, and we've lost control of everything. I sent word back to Earth, that someone needs to be sent out here, to deal the causes of these fluctuations... they're dealing with their own mechanized revolt, though, so I'm not sure how soon they'll send a soldier. In the meantime, I've invented a signal jamming device, which seems to render the machines immune to the power surges...

Looks like a piece of surveying equipment. These map system devices will build a map as you walk, and point you in the direction of the nearest hyperspace gate.

[2.11.2081] Hemos estado experimentando sobrecargas de energía muy extrañas durante los últimos días, el director me aseguró que todo va a estar bajo control a partir de ahora. Sin embargo, los robots han estado actuando raro desde el último apagón de comunicaciones, temo que la próxima vez se vuelvan locos...
[3.7.2081] Tuve suerte de estar en un waypoint cercano a la Tierra cuando los robots se volvieron contra nosotros... aparentemente muchos no tuvieron la misma suerte. Para escapar de las máquinas huí a través de un portal de curvatura, pero la carnicería se ve aún peor cuanto más avanzo. Algunas de las estaciones parecen haber estado más pobladas, desafortunadamente.
Parece que las sobrecargas de energía que emanan de los portales hiperespaciales tienen un efecto inusual en las máquinas, especialmente en los robots de las estaciones. Hemos estado observando desafortunadas reacciones violentas por parte de las máquinas--todo estó se está saliendo de control. Durante la última sobrecarga, creí haber visto la siluata de una figura muy grande y encapuchada cruzando el portal de salto. Durante mucho tiempo hemos sospechado que había... algo... ahí afuera, en el hiperespacio, algo que, tal vez, no debímos haber perturbado al abrir estos portales.
Las sobrecargas de energía en los portales de salto ya son más o menos constantes, hemos perdido el control de todo. Envíe un reporte a la Tierra, deberían mandar a alguien, para encargarse de las causas de estas fluctuaciones... es cierto que, ellos están enfrentando su propia revuelta mecánica, así que no estoy seguro de qué tan pronto enviarán algún soldado. Mientras tanto, he inventado un dispositivo de interferencia, que parece lograr que las máquinas sean inmunes a estas sobrecargas de energía...
