Welcome to FastStats.org, a platform for collecting, managing, and analyzing project metrics and statistics. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

1. Definitions

• "FastStats" refers to the FastStats.org website and its associated services, including frontend, backend, SDKs, and self-hosting options.
• "User" refers to any individual or entity using FastStats services.
• "Developer" refers to any user creating or managing a project within FastStats.
• "Project" refers to a collection of metrics and statistics stored on FastStats.
• "Public Project" refers to a project visible to all users.
• "Private Project" refers to a project restricted to members of the corresponding organization.
• "SDKs" refers to software development kits provided by FastStats or created by users to integrate with the service.

2. Account and Usage

• Users must create an account to access certain features.
• Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their account credentials.
• Developers may create and manage public or private projects.

3. SDK Licensing and Usage

• FastStats' official SDKs are licensed under the MIT License.
• FastStats' backend and frontend services are licensed under Creative Commons.
• Users may modify official SDKs under the following conditions:
  1. Users must not remove or obscure license information.
  2. Users must ensure compliance with all applicable laws and FastStats' data policies.

4. Data Collection and Privacy

• Users may create and use their own SDKs to publish stats to FastStats or self-hosted instances.
• Opt-Out Policy: Users must always have the ability to opt out of sending stats to a public project.
• This opt-out requirement does not apply to private projects.
• Developers may not collect personally identifiable information (PII), including but not limited to:
  • IP addresses
  • Names
  • Physical addresses
  • Location data
  • Any other data traceable to an individual

5. User Responsibilities

• Users must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Users may not use FastStats to collect unauthorized, sensitive, or personal data.
• Users may not attempt to deanonymize any collected data.
• If a user acts against any of these Terms, FastStats reserves the right to ban the user from the platform.

6. Service Availability and Termination

• FastStats reserves the right to modify or discontinue services at any time.
• Accounts may be terminated for violations of these Terms.

7. Limitation of Liability

• FastStats is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• FastStats is not liable for any damages resulting from service usage.

8. Changes to These Terms

• We reserve the right to update these Terms. Continued use of FastStats after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
