The aim of this project was to improve on the current FIU parking Application/Page/Platform.

Enhancements

• Switched from percentage based counting to numerical.
• Application UI Cleanup, Providing better readability.
• Works on multiple environments
• Mobile Friendly

Implementation

Using the official FIU API we were able to obtain real time information. Some of the standard information was the current percentage capacity of which the garages were full at.

Hardships

• Due to limited knowledge at the parking department this became a recon mission.
• No tech savvy users found within the FIU parking department.
• Had to look through internet traffic to find out API gateways leading to finding functional realtime API.
• Pg5 Overflow parking Information UNAVAILABLE
• Learned React, ReactStrap, Bootstrap and applied to fulfill this project
