Foodcoop Configuration

When a new foodcoop starts, there are a couple of choices to make.

  • name of the foodcoop
  • short name becomes part of the website address
  • contact (general contact details, e.g. for letter headers)
    • address
    • email
    • phone
    • homepage (after login users will be redirected)
  • margin, percentage that the foodcoop adds to the gross price to cover costs
  • membership fee, what new members need to pay before they can participate
  • signup form whether there is a signup form
    • if yes, then anyone can signup; after payment of their membership fee they can participate
    • if protected, then you can send a secret link to interested people; you can choose whether they will need to pay a membership fee first before they can order, or not
    • if no, then admins can invite users by email or create accounts manually.
  • payment method: iDEAL, bank transfer, PIN or manual entry (after cash or bank transfer)
  • order payment: when members need to pay an order
    • after order: only paid articles are ordered, like a webshop
    • balance: anytime, as long as the balance is above a certain minimum
    • prepaid: before ordering
  • order schedule, how often and when do you want to have an order cycle?
    • pickup day, e.g. every two weeks on wednesday
    • order closes, e.g. every two weeks on monday
