House Keeping

Student Selection

  • We will go with FCFS basis, it's not about the the best 40 but the first good 40.
  • In the case we don't find the 40, do we extend the application?
  • Are we flexible enough to adjust that number, say we get 60?
    • Teams can handle ~250 pax, so that's sort of our glass ceiling
  • TBD: Loice to set up the meeting for selection
  • Selection Committee: Pius, Loice, Charity, Collins, Amb. Felix, Amb. Julia

Topics to be covered

For the pilot, we will only cover Section I of the curriculum:

I: Foundational Data Structures and Concepts: Arrays and Strings, Stacks and Queues, Linked Lists, Dictionaries and Hash-maps, Big-O Analysis.

  • Each topic taking 1 week. This means we will spill a little into March to complete our micro-pilot.

NOTE: The topics were patterned around HackerRank's Interview Kit

what's next for trainers?

Pedagogy Approach

  • Break-out sessions ("unconferences"):

    • Workshops on other side topics, e.g. communication, MS interview process, negotiations,

    • ..
    • "GoL TV" anyone? :) subscribe, like...
    • We make it "open mic" of sorts, where any mentor or trainer comes up with a topic and it's scheduled in
    • We will need to spread the sessions across the whole 3 months 💯

Questions / ETC
