Why s2?

s2 is short for Settlers II, the game that inspired me to write this code. And I had to name the project somehow and s2 sounded cool enough.

What is this about?

Well… nothing concrete. It started as a pet project. I was curious about how certain problems in Settlers II (pathfinding, routing) are solved and so I sat down and wrote some code. I’ve been asked to publish the source code… here it is.
This is not really an attempt to rewrite Settlers II from scratch. Right now it’s more of an experiment. If it turns out to become a game even better.
