Setting Up New Device

Git

Install

Run git --version -- Follow directions to install Xcode Command Line Tools

SSH Keys (if needed)

adding-a-new-ssh-key-to-your-github-account

• Generate ssh key: ssh-keygen -t ed25519 -C "[email protected]"
• Start ssh-agent: eval "$(ssh-agent -s)"
• Create ssh-agent config: touch ~/.ssh/config
• Add contents into created config file:

Host github.com
  AddKeysToAgent yes
  IdentityFile ~/.ssh/id_ed25519

• Add provide key to ssh-agent: ssh-add --apple-use-keychain ~/.ssh/id_ed25519
• Copy public key to clipboard: pbcopy < ~/.ssh/id_ed25519.pub
• Go to Settings > Access > SSH and GPG keys > New SSH key
