@rcalixte Yes I know. I kept the pt in the files title to maintain consistency with https://translations.launchpad.net/linuxmint/latest/+lang/pt, but it should be pt_PT to avoid mixing with pt_BR, which sometimes happens on Debian-based systems and even because of the plural forms. But to conclude, Linux Mint itself by default after an installation doesn't assumes the Portuguese of Portugal language straight away, you have to go to the language-tool to confirm the Portuguese of Portugal language so that you don't get Portuguese of Portugal mixed up with Portuguese of Brazil. I think this is an old problem... If we don't do this, the /etc/default/locale file will have the language code pt | pt_BR instead of pt | pt_PT

Yeah, this happens with a few languages. I merged because you're an experienced translator and I assumed you were intentional.

@rcalixte Yes, thank you! I see you're paying attention too 👍🏻 I've been dealing with this problem since 2008! Even in GNOME I always have to change the verb forms to pt_PT lang code to get the translation to look right. It's true that Portugal's language code is pt, but because of the variants, pt_PT was created to avoid mix-ups.
