I think we'd be better off getting out install closer to the documented install method https://github.com/ddclient/ddclient#manual-installation
I have some questions about some of it I will ask in ddclient/ddclient#579
Closing this for now. I'll open a PR with the updated install method hopefully soon.

idk the latest version is completely broken for me i think the best thing is a role back or a hotfix as soon as possible?

I will add a hotfix to ddclient to mitigate the issue. (See here)
