Review Guide
Since NicoFox does not support the English version of Nico Nico Douga, it will be hard to test Nico Nico Douga and NicoFox if you don't speak Japanese. Here is the English guide to help you :).
If you speak:
- English: Create new account on niconico.com. (Don't use Facebook integration!)
- Chinese: Create new account on tw.nicovideo.jp
- Spanish: Create new account on es.nicovideo.jp
- German: Create new account on de.nicovideo.jp
For your safety, check the EV SSL Cert on the register page.
NicoFox works on Japanese, Taiwanese, Spanish and German version of Nico Nico Douga. It doesn't work on the English version (niconico.com).
Following is the guide to use NicoFox on Japanese site.

Go to www.nicovideo.jp, click the login link.

Use your account to log in the site. English form is available at this time. (Check the EV SSL Cert on the login page.)

After logged in, go to Video directory, Choose a video to watch.

After video page is loaded, click the NicoFox button on the upper right corner. A video info box containing a download button will be displayed.

Click "Download" and download will be started. If it keeps loading for a long time, try to leave the video page.
For some video, low-quality mode will be on for free account on the rush hour in Japan and NicoFox will not download the video until the low-quality mode is off. You can still download low-quality version by changing the option.
Low-quality period (in Japan Standard Time): Weekday 18:00 - 2:00, Holiday 10:00 - 2:00.

After download is finished, double click on the item in the Download Manager, a player will be shown and play locally stored video.

In the video directory, choose other tabs rather than the first tab. You can download video directly by right-clicking the video link. This function doesn't work on video links in the first tab on this directory.
