Assembly Finishing

Not supported in the decomposition modes.

The buttons in the Assembly Finishing section of the control panel can be used to select paths of contigs in the graph and export the resulting node labels (if exporting an AGP file and the current .db file originated from GML input) or IDs (if not exporting an AGP file, or if the current .db file originated from other input filetypes).

Click Start to begin the finishing process, and then select any contig in the graph to begin finishing from that contig.

The finishing tools automatically progress along unambiguous connections in the graph. This minimizes the amount of clicking involved in selecting a path for finishing.

Once you're done with finishing, you can click End to stop. The finishing process will also end by default if you reach a dead end in the path.

By default, the finishing tools will pan the viewport to the tentative nodes to be added to the path. This behavior can be disabled in the animation settings.

Paths can be exported as either a comma-separated (CSV) list of node IDs, or as a scaffold in the AGP file format.
