Most of these tools seem to serve no purpose anymore and haven't been touched in about 8 years.
@DonLakeFlyer do any of these need to be updated or can still be used for anything? I know the travis-ci one is irrelevant now, and the xcode8 stuff doesn't seem useful anymore. Don't really see any use of the strip and tar stuff either.
