SINGLE FUELS CALCULATOR

This will calculate your smoke mgmt for any burn where the majority of the fuel can be described using a single fuel type. What you will need to use this calculator:

• The SIZE of your burn in acres (do not use decimals, round off your size)
• The distance to your nearest smoke sensitive target (refer to the SMP guidelines manual)
• The Category Day for your location. This can be retrieved from the Fire Weather forecast NWS LZK or you can call the Arkansas Forestry Commission dispatch center (800-830-8015)
  
• The Type of fuel and the Loading amount.

So you may be asking what happens if my burn exceeds the guidelines? well, if your burn is going to exceed the guidelines the Single fuels calculator will give you a "recommended" max number of acres that can be burn without exceeding the guidelines. Note: this is ONLY a feature for the single fuels calculator, the mutliple fuels calculator does not have this feature.
