I have done a full copy edit on your piece (to what I believe is Wikipedia-level quality). Editing in the browser was impractical with the long lines, so it was done in two steps: internal formatting (inserting linebreaks) and the actual copy editing.

References include: (its = possessive, it's = "it is" or "it has". See for example http://www.wikihow.com/Use-Its-and-It's.), Spelling/case, as in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twitter, http://grammartips.homestead.com/than.html, and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Input/output

I hope my efforts have not been in vain!

It is too difficult to edit in the browser with the long lines.
Broken into short lines - editing in the browser is too cumbersome otherwise.
Full copy edit, Wikipedia-level quality. (E.g.: (its = possessive, it's = "it is" or "it has".
