Q: Why do you put a comment with "The end." in most of your files?

A: Because sometimes I'll get stuck trying to make sure that the end of the file is where I think it is. It's a totally pointless effort that I'll focus on rather than just writing code. I've found that if I put a comment and a newline at the end of a source file that I don't worry about it anymore-- I can see where the end is. It keeps me from worrying and fiddling with it over and over and over again. I do not often feel driven by obsessive-compulsive-like impulses, but this one makes my brain itch.

And it's not with every kind of file. It's best that I don't think about that too much.
