Feedback by members/contributors of the Ojos Project is greatly appreciated!
Our Mission Statement (Draft)
Our mission is to create a better hospice experience by creating open and reliable systems for caregivers.
Our Values (Draft)
1. Open technology
A lot of Ojos Project's ideology stems from the free and open-source movement. Whether it's by protecting our technology with open licenses, or by putting people over profit, we're dedicated towards making technology open for you.
Our definition of "open technology" doesn't stop there. We're aiming at making our technology modifiable, allowing even you to make your own changes to our technology. We aim to keep our technology fully documented.
2. Ease-of-use
Technology should be easy to use. Especially healthcare technology.
Ease-of-use is critical in the healthcare space. Caregivers and nurses shouldn't spend their time fighting with technology, they should be helping patients. We recognize this, and we aim to make our technology easy to use, understand, and benefit from.
Members of our talented team have spent years at the University of California, Irvine learning about UI/UX research, and we're ready to show you what we can do.
3. Ease-of-mind
Through our earliest research, and even lived experiences, we quickly realized that being a caregiver is a stressful responsibility. There's various things to keep track of, and that goes without mentioning the toll it can take on individuals' mental health.
Through one-on-one conversations with former caregivers and healthcare professionals, we're gaining a deeper sense of understanding when it comes to caring for another person.
4. Reliability
Healthcare technology should be reliable.
As our team gets closer and closer to a usable system, we're also aiming at various quality checks to ensure our technology is reliable. We aim to do quality control of our software, user testing interviews, and even deployments of our systems.
5. Helping because we can
To be drafted.
Our Goals (Draft)
1. Understand the needs of caregivers
To be drafted.
2. Create an open, reliable system for caregivers
To be drafted.
Our History
To be drafted.History should probably be separate page, probably like a timeline.
