📥 Installation

How to Install MacMistral on Your Mac:

1. Visit the MacMistral Ko-fi page by clicking here.
   (Alternatively, go to the main GitHub page and check the Releases tab for the latest version.)
2. Download the latest version (.zip file).
3. Locate the downloaded zip file in Finder and double-click to extract it.
4. Move the MacMistral.app file to your Applications folder.

macOS Security Notice:

Since MacMistral is from an "unidentified developer", macOS may block the app from running. To bypass this:

1. Locate MacMistral.app in your Applications folder.
2. Right-click (or Control-click) and select Open.
3. Click Open again when prompted.

💡 Pro Tip: To avoid this issue in the future, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and set “Allow applications from Anywhere.”

🔧 Usage

1. Click the MacMistral icon in your menubar.
2. Select your AI model (Mistral, Gemini, ChatGPT, DeepSeek, or Grok).
3. Chat instantly—no extra apps, no distractions!
4. Customize your experience:
   • Resize the chat window (Small, Medium, Large).
   • Keep the chat window Always on Top.
   • Switch AI models on the fly.

🔄 Auto-Start on Login

Want MacMistral to launch automatically when you log in?

1. Open System Settings.
2. Click General → Login Items.
3. Click the + button to add an app.
4. Navigate to MacMistral.app in your Applications folder.
5. Select it and click Open.

Now, MacMistral will start up and be ready in your menubar whenever you log in!
