That's my first PR and there is no explanation about how to open a PR. So, here we go.

Motivation:

Maintain the current set of JSON is difficult and frequently creates merge conflicts because of several different developers are working on the same file.

Solution:

Split the JSON into several small files grouped by directory.
Each directory is a different application
Each directory contains a file named metadata.json
