If the current user is not in a git repo, the error stack will be printed and it's not very user-friendly. After this change, the error will be shown as:

PS C:\Users\xxxxx\Source> cherry_picker.exe
🐍 🍒 ⛏
fatal: not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git

Sorry, I just noticed that there is already a PR which fixed this issue too: #119.
