Connecting to the home WiFi using a RS485 to WiFi dongle like the 'Elfin EW11A RS485 to WIFI converter' (Connects the RS485 pins on your inverter. This does not use the inverter's build-in WiFi or Ethernet connection.)
- Pin 1 (the one closer to the center) of the FoxESS RS485 connector goes to Terminal A of the RS485 to Wifi adapter and
- pin 2 of the FoxESS connector goes to Terminal B.
In the menu of the Wifi adapter in the TCP settings port 502 must be set. In the serial port settings the following parameters work for me:
- Baud Rate 9600,
- Data Bit 8,
- Stop Bit 1,
- Parity "none".
- Buffer Size 512,
- Gap Time 50,
- Flow Control "half duplex",
- Cli "serial string,
- Serial String "+++",
- Waiting Time 300,
- Protocol "modbus".
A backup file is attached (by domerich, just replace "mySSID" with yourwifi name and "1111" with your wifi password. You can download the file from here: backup_settings_elfin_EW11.xml
