Inspiration
The inspiration for this project was mainly driven from this
After seeing how the t-SNE point moved in the embedding projector, I've wanted to see what the paths that these points make through space persisted like a sculpture. In the projector, it looks like sand particles moving against each other with a almost gravitational force pulling it to where it wants to be. The points combine to form these fantastic curves and forms, and I really wanted to emphasize that in my work. The points move in a kind of dance, trying to find their place in this new, restricted environment.
Also there's an interesting aspect in the fact that by turning a motion into a sculpture it is effectively reducing its dimensionality as well.
I also liked the idea of taking the distilled meaning of a word, and giving it a motion and kinesis that it would never have otherwise. It creates a kind of juxtaposition between some of the words and the shapes they create.
