Become a sponsor to Tim Jones
Hi, I'm Tim Jones, and I'm passionate about creating open source tools for graphics developers. My current projects are Shader Playground and HLSL Tools. My previous projects include DotLiquid, Gemini, and SlimShader. If you use any of my projects for your work, please consider sponsoring me. Sponsorship goes towards paying the monthly Azure bill for hosting Shader Playground, and any surplus goes towards making this a sustainable thing for me to spend my time on.
Here are the open source projects I work on:
Shader Playground is a website for exploring most of the popular shader compilers and transpilers and tools, including dxc, fxc, HLSLcc, glslang, HLSLParser, hlsl2glsl, SPIRV-Cross... you get the idea.
HLSL Tools is an extension available for Visual Studio and VSCode that brings full IntelliSense to HLSL files, including statement completion, quick info, go to definition, reference highlighting, navigation bar, and more.
Shader Playground is hosted on Azure, using their "S1"-sized virtual machine. Including tax, this costs roughly £67 per month. Converted to US dollars, that is roughly $92. So my goal is to cover the hosting cost for Shader Playground, which would make it easier to justify this hobby project to my family (and myself) 😄
