Update Server Frameworks #100
base: master

Removing Vane is okay. Angel is not maintained anymore. Functions framework is interesting because of its use case, but the rest of the packages I'm not sure if they will be considered as something widely used by community. I'll be keeping this PR open for now in case someone can help gauge the popularity of these packages. |
The last commit for angel (fork) was 7 days ago, I think it is supported. As for the others, you can ask the opinion of their authors:

I think you can skip Liquidart for now. I am now busy with my job and also with my programming language @qatlang, so publishing a new version of Liquidart is kind of uncertain. Also conduit still stands as a better alternative to Liquidart. But to be honest, conduit's future also looks kind of uncertain, so I am not so sure if it will be actively maintained, in the future. Thanks for the mention @mit-73. Glad to be of help. |
Somewhat early here for me, but I'm the maintainer of Steward (https://github.com/PyreStudios/steward). I love Dart and am looking to do more to enhance our non-mobile ecosystem. Steward aims to be more than a shelf but less than a rails. Somewhere in the happy middle (probably closest to something like the Play framework from the JVM-land). No hard feelings if you're not ready to add it yet given how new it is, but I look forward to making the list soon :) |
We can add Conduit and Functions Framework for sure. |
Removed Liquidart and Dia
@Chinmay-KB Start seems to be dead too, last updated 2 years ago |
Conduit is as active as a project with a single developer who has a full time job could be. In maintenance mode currently, but I'll draft up a plan next year. |
