Block Chain Data Report

Exploratory data analysis:

  • What are the major cryptocurrencies? Choose 3-5 from the top currencies. (Such BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, LTC, etc.)

  • Explain the history of these cryptocurrencies. Plot their historic prices and make sense of their price courses.

Projects:

  • Pull the price information of these cryptocurrencies. Are they correlated?

  • Explore anomalies of each currency.

  • Are there any anomalies when combining these cryptocurrencies?

  • Is there any correlation between the anomalies of the currencies?

  • Search the internet. Are there any special events that are associated with the anomalies? What’s your speculation of the causal effect?

  • Split the cryptocurrencies data into different temporal periods. See whether you can train your unsupervised model with historic data and detect anomaly in the future.

  • How can users use such additional information to guide their actions?

  • (Optional Task) How would you detect anomaly of a relatively new currency? Choose 1-3 cryptocurrencies with a shorter history and explore.
