Welcome to our developers wiki with documentation related software development of the DiSSCo data infrastructure. Documentation you'll find in this wiki:
- An overview of software components in development,
- Architectural design and design choices,
- Software development methods and operation of the development team
The development team is responsible for developing the DiSSCo data infrastructure, which includes core infrastructure and end-user services. Core infrastructure is based on the Digital Specimen architecture, DSArch and includes components such as the Digital Specimen repository, persistent identifier infrastructure, and data processing services. These form the backbone of the data infrastructure and provide central functionality. End-user services, such as community curation services and automated annotation services, connect to the core infrastructure via RESTful APIs. End-user services provide services for humans and for machines.
