- Attendees: Alex Mitrevski, Katarzyna Pasternak, Fagner Pimentel
- Note taker: Alex
- Rulebook discussion
- Finalising the survey for the research community
- Literature search progress
1. Alex suggests that we should perhaps consider reducing the number of tasks for next year (per round, one Housekeeper and one Party Host task) so that teams can focus their efforts better. However, everyone agrees that the fact that there are multiple tasks allows teams to showcase their strengths in different areas, so it would instead be better to focus on improving the current tasks. For next year, we are thus very likely going to keep the current task set, but we will aim to introduce extra scores for challenging aspects (such as natural interaction with people, recovery from failures and/or explaining why a failure has happened). We will particularly wait for the answers to the survey so that we can consider those in the task definitions.
For next week, everyone should look into tasks from the current rulebook, in particular:
- Kasia: Receptionist
- Fagner: Tidy up
- Alex: Storing groceries
- Matteo: Carry my luggage
Everyone looks at all second-stage tasks, particularly because a second-stage task will be considered for the planned RoboCup Stay@Home competition next year. We don't have to take a look at GPSR because it's already well-defined and challenging enough.
Kasia will additionally take a closer look at the simulation rule book in the next few weeks; she already has some notes about inconsistencies found during this year's competition.
2. The survey is alright in the current format; we can send it over later today/tomorrow (after Matteo looks at a draft message we have prepared).
3. There was no time to discuss this during the meeting.
