Layout Generation Steps

Guidelines

  1. Cell in the overall layout groups a field as a whole. It is a group of ROI's which will be predicted and grouped together.

  2. ROI(Region Of Interest) is an area of interest in the image that will be used to predict/recognize a character/digit/OMR.

  3. Make sure individual Cells and ROIs are grouped with appropriate prefixes.

  4. For Tagging OMR sheets, make sure the OMR circle closed area is tagged instead of the complete outer square area. If the complete outer area is tagged, the prediction will not be accurate. SaralSDK can refine CELL_OMR detecting by hogging the circle before detecting the darkness of the circle for prediction.

  5. In tools like MS VoTT, order of tagging plays important role in the order of generating the Cells and ROIs. So please pay close attention to the order of tagging each ROI.
