Rules of Engagement

We're happy to review any contributions to the project.

If nobody is able to review PR within a couple of days, there is no reason to take offense.

If other, newer pull requests get reviewed before yours, there is still no reason to take offense. Perhaps they dealt with more critical bugs, or simply required less time to review and the reviewer only had that amount of time to spend on Homebrew that day.

New formula submissions or core changes will always take longer than simple version updates of already-accepted software.

If it's been more than a week, it's fair to bump it or even ping a specific maintainer to make sure it gets noticed. But even then, we may not get to it right away.

Beyond that, we can't make any guarantees other than we will do the best we can.
