Primarily, how to validate that you have customers willing to pay and your solution works for their problem. Pretotype.
It's tricky to find someone off the street that has this problem (annoyed with daytime or nighttime glare and will pay money to fix it). I would prefer to talk in person, but need a natural funnel. Does Alberto have ideas?
At least 1%
Of frequent users of sunglasses / night driving glasses
Would pay $199 for fancy LCD glasses that safely eliminate glare from the sun and bright headlights.
- $199, because it's easy in the pretotype to get feedback "it's too expensive" but not "it's too cheap"
One option to efficiently find the folks looking to solve this problem by doing some google ads...
At least 5%
Of clickers on an image Google Ad for keywords of “night driving glasses” (10K-100K monthly searchers) (or similar keywords)
Would convert through to clicking a “buy now” link and providing an email. Maybe a pre-order, want skin in the game too.
Google Ads -> Page -> Pre-sale / sale (with various options? but not too many)
- Ad image shows clip on format factor with blocking square and motion blur behind it. Maybe with logo of eclipse? Eyeclipse "smart glasses"? $199.
- Website: (needs to be short and to the point, it's much easier to update and a/b test than youtube)
- Do your sunglasses suck? <scroll down, hopefully people figure it out? Or just ... more obvious>
- Meet eyeclipse. The total solution for glare. <have javascript move around sun, which adjusts square?>
- Pre-order? Buy now button. Need skin in the game. Alberto probably has opinions. Reread section in book on screen door.
- Custom domain on Github pages: https://docs.github.com/en/pages/configuring-a-custom-domain-for-your-github-pages-site/managing-a-custom-domain-for-your-github-pages-site. Can probably do a POST request to do auto a/b testing. Add google analytics too, maybe a modal popup on leaving?

- They are pretty opinionated (somewhat rightly) that the only way to change is with less bright headlights and regulation (even with adaptive matrix headlights). However, they might be open to discussion about alternative solutions...
