Before this PR

  • Node 16 was required by the template as Functions were running on Node 16

After this PR

  • Node 18 now required by the template as Functions now runs on Node 18

Reason that prompted this change

On March 26, 2024, Segment is upgrading the Functions runtime environment to Node.js v18, which is the current long-term support (LTS) release.
