Auto actions
Auto Actions allow you to pre-program actions in certain rounds using the Auto
tab on the far right:
Auto Actions attempt to operate in a fail-safe mode, deactivating if other players take actions that would affect you.
Note: This behavior is retroactive, deactivating if any such action took place after your last turn
e.g. with turn order Alice -> Bob -> Carol
- Alice buys a share
- Bob sells a share
- Alice sets Auto Pass
- Carol passes
- Alice's Auto Pass deactivates
Share purchases and passes can be pre-programmed to execute during Stock Rounds.
Auto Actions deactivate when:
- Shares are sold
- Corporation is parred (if players are allowed to sell its shares this round)
- Shares are purchased in your insecure corporation
- Shares are purchased in an insecure corporation you own any shares of where they could become the president with one more buy action
- Shares are shorted
Some games include other conditions:
- 18MEX (et.al): Non-standard share sizes are purchasable (e.g. 5%)
- 1849: The 20% last share of any corporation is purchasable
Generally Auction Rounds cannot be pre-programmed, with the exception of 18EU
's Dutch auction and 18MT
's Waterfall auction. This may be expanded to other games after any bugs are shaken out.
Only one minor can be selected for auto bidding at a time. If a player chooses a minor that is different from the one you've selected, your auto bid will be disabled. You can then fill in an auto bid for the current minor.
Checking only "Maximum Bid"
- If nobody has bid, will place the first $100 bid
- If not winning the auction, will increase the current bid by $5
- If the current price for the auction is the specific maximum bid or higher, will return control to the player(1)
Checking only "Buy Price"
- Buys the current minor if the minor price matches the buy price setting, otherwise passes
- Disables if someone else bought the minor before reaching the buy price
- If someone has bid (starting the auction), will return control to the player(1)
Checking both "Maximum" and "Buy Price"
- Buys the current minor if the minor price matches the buy price setting, otherwise passes
- Disables if someone else bought the minor before reaching the buy price
- If someone has bid (starting the auction), will follow the steps for checking "Maximum Bid"
Checking "Pass After" (1) In both cases, instead of returning control to the player, passes, leaving the auction
You can Auto Pass on proposing a merger in certain games with merger rounds.
