Custom Toolboxes
preconditions: Experience with TypeScript, Java, REST, usability
This project is more complex as it seems to be.
context: OpenRoberta is a learning platform. It uses a graphical programming language (based on blockly) and has code generators/loader for many robots and embedded systems used in education. Browse through https:lab.open-roberta.org . Use the simulator and write some simple programs
problem: The lab provides two different toolboxes, one for beginner and one for experts. Depending on the task and on the experience level users want to have many more. Especially teachers would like to provide custom toolboxes to their students.
idea: Users/teachers create their own toolboxes for their children, students, etc. Once a toolbox is created, it can be saved and shared with someone or a group.
task: Analyze toolboxes and create an intuitive editor for them. Think about workflows for saving and sharing.
note: This task requires some basic understanding of the Blockly library.
