  • [Mobs] Another fix for AI randomly being unable to eat food off the ground.

Added:

  • [Mobs] A new subspecies of chicken, the Sri Lankan Junglefowl, with a unique model and texture.

Changed:

  • [Mobs] Improvements to nesting and feeding AI so that chicks should be less confused about what to eat or where to go.
  • [Internal] Fixed compatibility with latest GT6 for countertops and chests (blame Greg)
  • [Internal] Attempted to fix an occasional log-spamming ASM error when Forge's ItemToolTip event somehow triggers during the main menu

Adds:

  • [Compat] WAILA will now display the species name, subtype name, and genetic information about any genetic mobs.
  • [Mobs] All breedable mobs are now able to eat their breeding item if it is dropped on the ground. This can be disabled by turning off "use custom AI" in QwerTech's config settings.
  • [Mobs] All breedable mobs will not search for food if they are under the Poisoned or Nausea effects, if being lured by a player, or attacking something, unless they are under the Hunger effect. Otherwise, they will search for food as long as they are either able to be bred, or are below full health.
  • [Mobs] All breedable mobs will be healed when fed. If it is an item which can the player can eat, they will heal as many half-hearts as the food will give the player half-shanks. Otherwise, they will heal one half-heart per item.
  • [Mobs] A new animation system for genetic mobs. Currently, the most noticeable additions are that chickens "breathe" while standing still, and bob their heads when walking.

Fixes:

  • [Internal] No more "MISSING TEXTURE" reports from QwerTech. Finally. Probably.
  • [Mobs] Fixed some calculation issues where a taller or shorter mob may wrongly calculate where it should look, or where it can fit when path-finding.
  • [Mobs] Genetic mobs will now always have their maximum health rounded up to the nearest half-heart.
  • [UI] Adjusts the position of sneaking/blocking/burning status icons to be properly centered.

1.0.0-a.45

Added:

  • [WIP] The beginnings of a mob animation system, currently not implemented.

Changed:

  • [Blocks] Nests will now hold only 5 eggs total, not 5 stacks of eggs. Eggs themselves will still stack to 64 in other inventories when possible.
  • [Blocks] Nests can now have eggs right-clicked into or out of them, to gather or to hatch. They can also be inspected with a magnifying glass to determine who is using the nest and what kinds of eggs are in it.

Fixed:

  • [GT6] Updated to GT6 6.10 API. Previous versions of QwerTech will not work with GT6 6.10, and this version of QwerTech will not work with GT6 6.09 or earlier.
  • [Crafting] Repair recipes will now properly consume only 1 plate per stack of plates in the crafting grid, instead of accidentally consuming up to 2.

1.0.0-a.44

Added:

  • [Blocks] Nests and nesting boxes. Nesting boxes are made with 2 pieces of cut grass and 4 planks or plates of various materials. Chickens will attempt to find a nesting box during nighttime, and if none are available, will search for a place to make a nest hidden by tall grass. Once the chicken is in the nest, if they have not yet laid eggs this night, they will lay at least 1 and up to 3 eggs.
  • [Blocks] Currently, the only way to get eggs from a wild nest is to break them. They will drop a bit of grass and any eggs laid in them. Nesting boxes, however, can have eggs inserted through the top and extracted through the bottom (i.e. by hoppers).

Changes:

  • [Mobs] QwerTech chickens will no longer drop egg items. Instead, they will wait until nightfall and lay eggs in a nesting box or nest. They will prefer to return to the same nest every night, as long as they stay close enough, and will not share a nest. If there is no nest available, they will search for dirt, grass, or farmland next to tall grass, a flower, sugarcane, or crops, and lay the nest there. If they have mated since they last nested, their eggs will be fertilized, and eventually hatch into baby chickens.

Fixed:

  • [Blocks] Counterdrawers will now render properly when placed facing x-negative or z-negative.
  • [Crafting] Fixed some logspam, and modded recipes involving vanilla chests or feathers should now be able to use QT wooden chests and feathers even if they are too dumb to use the oredictionary recipe classes.
  • [Items] Meats' furnace recipes have been fixed, so chicken and turkey can be cooked again.
  • [Mobs] Chickens were much faster than intended, and have been slowed accordingly.
  • [Mobs] Chickens' health is now properly calculated alongside their maximum health.
  • [Mobs] Burmese Red Junglefowl now has the proper textures, and no longer appears bright blue.

1.0.0-a.42

Added:

  • [Blocks] Wood-specific chest types. They have the same storage as a vanilla chest but will not merge into a large chest. They should be already usable in all crafting recipes, but can be shapelessly crafted into the vanilla chest if desired.
  • [Blocks] Counterdrawers have been added, made from a countertop, a chest, two planks, and two glue bottles or slimeballs. Wooden versions require crafting with the same variant of countertop and chest, but stone types can take any chest. They work identically to normal countertops, but also contain 18 stacks of storage in their front drawer.
  • [Tools] Paper, ring, rod, and knife may be combined to create a new instrument of torture. RIght-click to activate, sneak-right-click to change pattern. Not recommended to use around children, animals, zombies, wolves, or friends who might punch it out of your hands.

Fixed:

  • [Blocks] QwerTech blocks will now properly render blocks that aren't 3D in the inventory, such as levers.
  • [Crafting] Crafting Tables will no longer refuse to craft from the 3D grid when it would result in holding the max stacksize in your hand.
