Funding Request Roles
The Funding Requests Roles object enables you to track the people who are associated to your Funding Request. For each Funding Request Role record, you can specify the Funding Request, the person, their role (e.g., Applicant, Grant Manager), their status (e.g., Current, Former) and whether or not they are the Primary Contact for that Funding Request. Note that there is no out-of-the-box validation on the object to technically prevent you from tracking multiple Primary Contacts.
To create a Funding Request Contact:
-
Go to your Funding Request record. Click New on the Funding Request Role related list.
-
Select your related contact from the Contact drop-down, or create a new contact as needed
-
Select their role, status, and whether or not they are the Primary Contact. Click Save.
You may want to add some of the following customizations to the Funding Request Contact functionality:
- Prevent Users from selecting more than one Primary Contact per Funding Request.
- Automatically create a Funding Request Contact record for a particular Contact if a specific value is set on the Funding Request. For example, if the Funding Request is of [Type X], automatically create a Funding Request Contact record for John Doe of Role = Grant Manager.
