Design Testing Overview

Testing was completed with five users. Testing completed was predominately test plan based on the user testing approach. Most of testers are student. Four testers are university students from different majors. One tester is an accountant. One of my testers only give me general feedback.

Design Testing Summary

Conducting the tests with users taught me a lot of knowledges about how to improve the prototype. Most of my testers suggested me about the similar colour problems of some weather icons. Two of my testers suggested me about improve the rain and snow weather effect background. It was great that the testers found a few problems with my designs.

Changes made to design based on testing

The main problems that I need to resolve included the similar colour problems of some weather icons and improve the rain and snow weather effect background. Based on evaluation analysis of the designs user testing, I changed five weather icons’ colours to make them more noticeable.
