OpenXY is an analysis package developed by Brigham Young University, written in Matlab, for performing cross-correlation analysis of High-Resolution Electron Backscatter Diffraction (HR-EBSD) patterns
OpenXY has the following analysis functions
- Perform HR-EBSD cross-correlation analysis to achieve higher-accuracy orientations
- Use real, kinematically or dynamically simulated reference patterns
- Works for single and multi-grain scans
- Calculate geometrically necessary dislocation (GND) content
- Use strain-minimization pattern-center calibration to improve pattern-center accuracy
- Supports Oxford HKL(.ctf, .cpr) and OIM(.ang) data formats
- Supports square, line, and hexagonal scans
- Supports all common image formats
- Matlab is required. Version 2014b or higher recommended. (Compiled version to be released at a later date)
- Parallel Computing Toolbox Required (This requirement may be made optional in future releases)
- Image Processing Toolbox Required (This requirement may be made optional in future releases)
- Multi-core processor (high-end i7 processor) recommended
- Minimum of 8 GB of RAM recommended
- Mac (OS X Yosemite or newer) needed to generate dynamically simulated images using EMsoft
