Sick Leave

At first go through core features of Leave Type and Leave Application in ERPNext.

Based on Private Sector Kuwait Labor Law Article(69). Subject to the provisions of Article (24) of this Law, the worker shall be entitled to the following sick leaves during the year:

– 15 days – at full pay

– 10 days – at three quarters of the pay

– 10 days – at half pay

– 10 days – at quarter pay

– 30 days without pay.

How to Configure Sick Leave based on Private Sector Kuwait Labor Law

Sick Leave based on the Private Sector Kuwait Labor Law, mark as Paid Sick Leave.

Leave Type

Leave Type refers to the types of leaves that an Employee can use while making Leave Applications.

An employee can select a particular Leave Type while requesting for a leave. You can create any number of Leave Types based on your company’s requirement.

To access Leave Type, go to:

Home > Human Resources > Leaves > Leave Type

If checked Is Paid Sick Leave in Leave Type, then the leave type will ensure to enter the Leave Payment Breakdown Details.Is Paid Sick Leave check will not come along with Is Leave Without Pay

Leave Payment Breakdown Details:

  • Salary Deduction Percentage: Percentage of salary that have to deduct as Additional Salary for the threshold days.
  • Threshold Days: Days in which the percentage of salary that have to deduct as Additional Salary. Threshold days added to the threshold days in the pervious raw to get total number of days.
  • Salary Component: Deduction Salary Component to crate Additional Salary.

Leave Application

The applying employee requires to select their Employee record, Leave Type having Is Paid Sick Leave checked and the period for which the leave is taken.

To create a new Leave Application, go to:

Human Resources > Leaves and Holiday > Leave Application > New Leave Application
