Mobile Interview Questions (Thesis & Conflicts)

Purpose of the interview: Find problems that the student has throughout the career. The student was asked if she has had any difficulties at lunchtime, when registering assignments, with the quotas in the classrooms, with the campus spaces, with the dean's activities and with the open classes.

Interview: 21-year-old student, studying architecture in the ninth semester at Universidad de los Andes.

Understanding details about the interviewee's experience in finding university-related information (Problem 4):

  • Did you have any problems with finding restaurants at the university?

Aims to understand if the student had problems finding restaurants or places to have lunch. In the interview it wasnt a major problem so I keep asking more problems the student has.

  • Did you had problems registering in the university courses?

Aims to find out if the student had problems registering subjects throughout the carrer. The student said that it has problems in Banner registering a subject, and with the occupation of the classes.

  • Did you had any problems due to the overcrowding of first semester students?

Aims to understand the point of view of the student. She had said previusly that there were a lots of problems with the classes, like other carrers using the classroms that are asigned for Architecture students, and the other classes that are teaching in their classrooms.

  • Did you find it challenging to find open classes or time limited classes in the university ?

Aims to find if the stund has any problems finding open classes or the ones that are weekly published by Decanatura using the institucional email.
