Questionnaire design

We did a short questionnaire survey on some minor problems that players may encounter in the process of interacting with NPCs, which covered three aspects.

  • The appearance of interaction.

We hope to know that when users have a conversation with NPCs Prefer horizontal or vertical typography.

  • How user-friendly of the interaction process

We need to know which of the way the user prefer to trigger the conversation with the npc and the what the system should do when user fail to get the clue.

  • The difficulty factor of interacting with NPCs

It is necessary to find out whether users need to add more prompts in the game, whether they want to do the task at the same NPC or experience it with different NPCs.

Analyze of Results

  • The appearance of interaction.

From the above results, it can be seen that the player prefers the dialogue to be presented vertically, which is more in line with the player's reading habits when viewed from the top down.

  • How user-friendly of the interaction process

Players enjoy the feeling of repeated attempts. When the player fails the task and does not get clues, a larger part of players prefer to restart the game and look for clues again. At the same time, players hope for a more intelligent interaction method. According to the distance between the player and the NPC, the dialogue will automatically pop up to help the player save some time. Players are more willing to interact through this way

  • The difficulty factor of interacting with NPCs

Through the questionnaire, more players just regard this game as a casual game, and they don't really need them to have too high difficulty and cumbersome process. So they just want to get clues from as few NPCs as possible, and then they also hope that there will be a hint for the collection of clues.
