Team 2 Spint 4: Updating NPC Communicating Scripts
Hlighting scripts that I updated in Each Chapter
{SELECTION 1: Back to find Metis. / SELECTION 2: Move on in the village.
SELECTION 1:
(The player goes back to find Metis and clicks on dialog.)
METIS: “Do you need my help? Dr. (Player’s Name)”
PLAYER: “Yes, could you please help me read this scale's memory?”
METIS: "I'm sorry, but I can't read this scale's memory. It's badly damaged. Maybe you can go to ask Heph to help fix it. He is stubborn but honest. You should be able to find him in the village ahead."
The player continues to the village.
The people arguing on the street caught player’s attention. As they walked through the crowd, they saw one man screaming at another person, with eyes blazing with fury.
PLAYER: “Hey guys, what's going on here now?”
BYSTANDER:” Heph's weird temper, who knows what will happen.”
“Maybe that person is not satisfied with what he repaired, Heph's repair skills are still good. Just a bad temper.”
SELECTION 2:
The people arguing on the street caught player’s attention. As they walked through the crowd, they saw one man screaming at another person, with eyes blazing with fury.
PLAYER: “Hey guys, what's going on here now?”
BYSTANDER:” Heph's weird temper, who knows what will happen.”
“Maybe that person is not satisfied with what he repaired, Heph's repair skills are still good. Just a bad temper.”}
{SELECTION 1: Observe from the sidelines. / SELECTION 2: Stop their quarrel.
SELECTION 1:
(Closes the dialog unless the player selects the second option.)
SELECTION 2:
The player manages to stop the brawl, dragging Heph aside. Told him part of the story and asked about the restoration.
HEPH: "How can this scale be in your hands? why is it destroyed like this? what have you done?!"}
{SELECTION 1: Tell him the truth of Nereus' death. / SELECTION 2: Conceal the situation.
SELECTION 1:
PLAYER: “I am very sorry for the death of Princess Nereus. But we are looking for the murderer. If you can help us fix this scale, we might get more clues.”.
HEPH: ”Why is this happening, and who did it? I can't fix it now. You go find me a seaweed, a fluorescent coral and a jellyfish.”
(Player collects 1 seaweed, 1 fluorescent coral and 1 jellyfish as instructed and then hand it to Heph.)
HEPH: “It’s a fair exchange, take it.”
(Players get repaired scales*1)
SELECTION 2:
HEPH:” No, you are lying, what happened to Princess Nereus? What did you do to her? .”
PLAYER: “Sorry we can't tell you about Nereus, but repairing the scales is really important to us. We implore your help. The truth will be told to you afterwards.”
HEPH:” Collect 5 seaweeds, 5 fluorescent corals and 5 jellyfish for me because of your careful thought. It's a fair exchange. Why are you still standing still? Go away.”
(Player collects 5 seaweed, 5 fluorescent coral and 5 jellyfish as instructed and then hand it to Heph)
HEPH:” All right.”
(Players get repaired scales*1)}
Orpheus hurried to him last week, begging him to save his irises, whose pedals were like being ripped off by someone. The poor musical actor was about to give the irises to the princess but somehow the plant was dead before he sent his feelings to her.
ORPHEUS:“Heph, please help me. my scales! My scales are broken! My poor princess, can I no longer send flowers to her? What have I done! ?”
HEPH: "I will help."
PLAYER: "Thank you Heph. The poor musical actor was about to give the irises to the princess but somehow the plant was dead before he sent his feelings to her.** "
{SELECTION 1: Ignore this person. / SELECTION 2: Find a way to follow Orpheus back to the theater.
SELECTION 1:
Stay in the village and lose clues.(Closes the dialog unless the user selects the second option.)
SELECTION 2:
The player decides to go to the theater to meet the person.}
(CHAPTER THREE ENDS)
Event: Got theatre ticket
Location: Theatre
Communication:
_P: Orpheus is a singer lives in this theatre! [Orpheus 1.]_
_P: He is singing a sorrow song… But still need to tell him the truth_
P: Orpheus... I'm sorry but Nereus is dead...
_O: it can’t be true… I lost someone I adore… Why… [Orpheus 2.]_
_(Player Action: Trying to ask a scale.)_
_O: NOOOO!!!_
_P: …_
_P: We help you to find murderer._
_O: Then I will give my scale*_
_O: Nereus was kind-hearted and treated everyone very well… [Nereus 4.]_
_P: it looks hard to know who may kill Nereus._
SECTION 1:
_**P: Nereus’ father was the king of Atlantis but he stepped down from the throne a few years ago for health reasons and lost voice about heir to the throne as a result. Her mom was also in charge of the main regime in Atlantis and had high admiration among villagers out of her shrewdness and broad perspective. Also, her mom loved Nereus for her talent of leadership. However, for their son Ares, he has strong skills in swordsmanship though, [Ares 1.] wasn't good enough in other decisive aspects especially to be the guardian of Atlantis.**_
SECTION 2:
Location: Orpheus
Event: Player tells Orpheus the information collected about Nereus’ Family. Communication:
_Player(P): There is nothing about the murder._
_Orpheus(O): Heph said the death of Princess was none of his business._
_P: But Heph always showed violence to anyone who had conflicts with him. [Heph 3.]_
_O: He also disagree with the political philosophy of the princess [Heph 4.]. He prefers Ares_
_P: He is sorrow when heard Nereus’ crying for her parents arguing about guardian of Atlantis._
_O: And he wouldn’t reveal any love for princess yet._
_Action (Decision making): _
_Orpheus reached a consensus with Player that they wouldn't leak out all the content he had told. (YES/No)_
SECTION 3: (When Player choose to keey the secrets)
Event: Player got a scale from Orpheus.
Mission: Gathered the scattered scales
Communication:

_O: …_
_P: Let’s go back to lab to ask researcher Zoe. [Zoe 1.]_
_O: Yeah, sure._
_(In lab)_
_Zoe: I will put all scales together and ask Metis to read princess’ memory. [Metis 1.]_
Metis: ... I... saw him...
